Basketball Recap: West Bend-Mallard Piles Up the Points Against Storm Lake St. Mary

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Bend-Mallard). They blew past the Storm Lake St. Mary Panthers 63-19 on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Wolverines as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

West Bend-Mallard's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Storm Lake St. Mary, their defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

West Bend-Mallard will be home for the holidays to greet Northwood-Kensett at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Northwood-Kensett knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully West Bend-Mallard likes a good challenge. Storm Lake St. Mary will take on Ar-We-Va in a holiday battle at at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
