Football Recap: Schalmont Comes Up Short

After soaring to 35 points the game before, Schalmont was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They took a hard 21-7 fall against the Averill Park Golden Knights. While losing is never fun, the Sabres can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while the Golden Knights are ranked 103rd).

Schalmont now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Averill Park, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Schalmont is set to face off against their familiar foe Ichabod Crane at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Averill Park will take on rival Glens Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
