Centennial came tearing into Saturday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Westland Cougars as they made off with a 17-7 win. Considering the Stars have won six matchups by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Ryan Hammond and Aza Corbett did most of the damage at the plate: Hammond got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, five runs, and two RBI, while Corbett went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Hammond has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Elise Julien, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases and one run.

Centennial was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in six consecutive games.

Centennial's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. As for Westland, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Centennial wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-6 win against Whetstone on the 16th. As for Westland, they have also already played their next match, a 15-0 defeat against Hayes on the 14th.
