Smackover posted their closest win since March 31, 2025 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the McGehee Owls 5-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Buckaroos.

Smackover's victory bumped their record up to 6-2-1. As for McGehee, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3-1.

Smackover and McGehee will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Buckaroos see the field they'll take on Drew Central at 10:00 a.m. on the 28th. As for McGehee, their break will end when they face Crossett at 5:00 p.m. on the 30th.
