Volleyball Recap: Beverly Takes a Loss

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Beverly and Hamilton-Wenham Regional had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Panthers fell just short of the Generals by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Beverly took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 23-25, 17-25, 25-18, 16-14.

Beverly now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Hamilton-Wenham Regional, their win ended a five-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-6.

Looking ahead, Beverly will challenge Winthrop at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hamilton-Wenham Regional, they will face off against Pentucket Regional at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
