Football Recap: Anclote Comes Up Short

Anclote fell victim to Gulf and their airtight defense on Monday. They were outmatched by the Buccaneers and fell 34-0. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 332nd, while the Buccaneers are ranked 118th).

Anclote has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Gulf, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2.

Anclote has already played their next game, a 25-6 loss against Nature Coast Tech on the 8th. Gulf does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
