TRUCKEE, Calif. -
Churchill County (Fallon, Nev.) bested Truckee (Calif.) 54-19 on the strength of
Morgan Dirickson, who tossed four touchdown passes.
After taking the lead on a Dirickson touchdown pass to
Tyler Bagby in the first quarter, the Greenwave were up 41-6 at the half.
Churchill County grew its lead to 42 points entering the fourth quarter. CC scored once in the quarter on a
Trent Tarner touchdown run.
With the win the Fallon school extended its winning streak to eight games. Churchill County defeated Fernley 49-6 last week.
Churchill County's standout player in the win was Dirickson. The senior quarterback threw four touchdowns.
The loss was the third in a row for the Wolverines.
In a IA Northern game next week Truckee (2-6) takes on South Tahoe, and Churchill County (8-0) will go up against Lowry also in a IA Northern game.
