Basketball Recap: Brooklyn's Win Ends Ten-Game Losing Streak at Home

Brooklyn had lost six straight headed into Monday's game, but Devin Hardwick didn't let it get to seven. The Brooklyn Hurricanes had just enough and edged the Bard Early College Raptors out 54-51 thanks in part to Hardwick, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten boards. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Brooklyn's points.

Mason Vega was another key player, putting up 11 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.

Brooklyn's victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-16. As for Bard Early College, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.

Brooklyn will face off against Fairview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bard Early College, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-36 loss against HEARTS for Jesus Christ on the 4th.
