Volleyball Recap: Falls Lake Comes Up Short

Falls Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Eno River Academy Bobcats, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in March.

While Falls Lake was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Eno River Academy's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-17, 25-22.

Forrest Boyles paced Falls Lake's offense, picking up six kills. Boyles got some help from Malachi Voss and his six assists. Finally, Samuel Phelps kept Falls Lake's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Falls Lake's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Eno River Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.

Falls Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eno River Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Triangle Math & Science at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
