Volleyball Recap: Plainfield North Tigers vs. Bolingbrook Raiders

Plainfield North was the 2-0 winner over Bolingbrook when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Plainfield North sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-22, 19-25, 25-17.

Aarush Singh paced Plainfield North's offense, picking up nine kills. Singh got some help from Joey cavlovic and his 31 assists. Dylan Sherry controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Bolingbrook can attribute much of their success to Nahya Scott, who had 15 digs and five assists. That's the most assists Scott has posted over his last seven matches.

Plainfield North's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-11. As for Bolingbrook, they pushed their record up to 16-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Plainfield North and Bolingbrook will both be playing New Trier the next time they take the court. The Raiders will head out to face the Trevians at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 6:45 p.m.
