Volleyball Game Preview: Milton Wildcats vs. Wellesley Raiders

The Milton Wildcats will venture away from home to take on the Wellesley Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Milton is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Needham just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 3-2.

Milton took Needham into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking ten-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 26-28, 25-12, 16-25, 25-20, 15-5.

Meanwhile, Wellesley entered their tilt with Natick on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Redhawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Raiders have posted since September 18, 2024.

Milton's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Wellesley, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-2.

Milton might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Wellesley in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
