Volleyball Game Preview: St. Mary's Knights vs. Saguaro Sabercats + Official Tickets

The St. Mary's Knights will face off against the Saguaro Sabercats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

St. Mary's took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Cactus Shadows, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Knights won by a set and slipped past the Falcons 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since September 19th.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Saguaro, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Arcadia on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

St. Mary's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Saguaro, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.

St. Mary's couldn't quite get it done against Saguaro in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
