Baseball Recap: Springfield Township Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Springfield Township ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Upper Moreland Bears, sneaking past 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Bears on Tuesday, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Ryan Trader looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jon Matthews, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
