Softball Recap: Somersworth Comes Up Short

Somersworth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 6-3 to the Trinity Pioneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 on Monday.

Somersworth's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Trinity, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Somersworth will square off against Hillsboro-Deering at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Trinity, they will head out to square off against Prospect Mountain at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
