Jordan Gonder leads a balanced attack to beat West Rowan

Recap: Northwest Cabarrus Trojans vs. West Rowan Falcons

After losing to the West Rowan Falcons the last time they met, the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Northwest Cabarrus walked away with a 52-42 victory over West Rowan on Tuesday.

Northwest Cabarrus' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Gonder led the charge by scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Anderson Lee, who scored ten points along with two steals.

Northwest Cabarrus' victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for West Rowan, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest Cabarrus will take on South Rowan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Rowan comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for West Rowan, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Robinson at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Robinson is ranked 170th, while West Rowan is ranked 154th).
