Meanwhile, while Berwyn/Cicero Morton put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Bremen. The Mustangs blew past the Braves 10-0. With that victory, the Mustangs brought their scoring average up to 6.7 runs per game.

Riverside-Brookfield's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Berwyn/Cicero Morton, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Riverside-Brookfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Berwyn/Cicero Morton in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-3.
