Football Recap: Susquehanna Valley Comes Up Short on the Road Against Owego Free Academy + How To Watch

Susquehanna Valley kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Owego Free Academy River Hawks, falling 34-8. The Sabers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the River Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2017.

Nolan Weed threw for 103 yards on ten of 19 attempts. Maverick Aton was his top target, picking up 49 receiving yards. On the ground, Nick Layton rushed for 29 yards and one score.

The win got Owego Free Academy back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Susquehanna Valley will welcome Watkins Glen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Owego Free Academy, they will challenge Vestal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
