Baseball Recap: Pavilion Comes Up Short

After flying high against Keshequa on Saturday, Pavilion came back down to earth. The Golden Gophers fell just short of the Wayland-Cohocton Eagles by a score of 6-5 on Monday. The Golden Gophers have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Pavilion's defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Wayland-Cohocton, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Pavilion will host Avon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Gophers are facing the Braves at the right time seeing as the Braves are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Wayland-Cohocton, they will face off against Honeoye Falls-Lima at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
