Softball Recap: Franklin County Tech Victorious

Franklin County Tech lost to Hopkins Academy back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Eagles came out on top against the Golden Hawks by a score of 11-6. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Emma Petersen was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Rider, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Franklin County Tech kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Franklin County Tech's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Hopkins Academy, they dropped their record down to 4-11 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin County Tech will head out to challenge Turners Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hopkins Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Southwick Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
