Volleyball Recap: East Lawrence Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for East Lawrence, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Marion County Red Raiders on Monday.

East Lawrence not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Marion County between 19 and 21 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-19.

East Lawrence's offense was headlined by Macey Austin and Lauren Garner, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Cheyenne Hackett and her 15 assists. Austin was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

East Lawrence's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Marion County, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

East Lawrence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Fairview on the 26th. As for Marion County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Russellville on the 25th.
