Basketball Recap: Hurricane Comes Up Short

Hurricane was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They took a blow against the Cedar Reds, falling 69-29. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 75-52 on January 3rd.

Despite the defeat, Hurricane saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Laynee Walker posted 16 points and six boards.

Hurricane's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Cedar, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Hurricane has already played their next contest (against Dixie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cedar wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-60 defeat against Desert Hills on the 23rd.
