Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sandpoint). They breezed past the Davis Pirates to the tune of 45-15 on Friday. With the Bulldogs ahead 28-3 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Sandpoint's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maverick Gomez led the charge by picking up 72 receiving yards and one score. Gomez showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 53 yards. Wes Smith was in the mix as well, providing Sandpoint with two touchdowns.
Sandpoint was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 335 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
