Basketball Recap: Nine Straight Home Wins for Hooker

Hooker had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 44-31 victory over the Pond Creek-Hunter Panthers. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 50-39 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2015.

Hooker's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points over those games. As for Pond Creek-Hunter, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-9.
