Basketball Recap: North Sanpete's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If North Sanpete was riding high fresh off their 76-44 takedown of Ben Lomond on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hawks came up short against the Northridge Knights on Saturday, falling 47-26. The loss put an end to the Hawks' undefeated start to the season.

Despite the loss, North Sanpete still got an impressive performance from James Clayton, who posted ten points and eight boards.

Northridge had a senior duo take command as Daniel Sunkuli shot 60% from the field to rack up 18 points and Theo Roach scored 15 points. The matchup was Sunkuli's third in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jett Williams, who earned four points and six steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, North Sanpete fell to 2-1. As for Northridge, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, North Sanpete will head out to face off against Gunnison Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
