The Brighton Bengals will take on the Orem Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Brighton sitting on six straight wins and Orem on four.
Brighton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Olympus a 10-0 shutout. The Bengals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 games by seven runs or more this season.

Brighton got a great performance from Josh Mawhinney as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Mawhinney has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Easton Fry was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season. River Schmidt was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Brighton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April.
Meanwhile, Orem had just enough and edged out Salem Hills 11-9 on Monday.
Orem got a massive performance out of Tayden Kaawa, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Merrick Bostock, who went 4-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one double.
Orem's victory bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Brighton, their win bumped their record up to 25-3.
Brighton was able to grind out a solid victory over Orem when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 7-2. Do the Bengals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
