Volleyball Recap: Brush Has No Trouble Against Weld Central

Brush not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 13th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against the Weld Central Rebels as they made off with a 3-0 win. For the Beetdiggers, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Rebels walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Brush was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18, 25-21.

Taryn Wickham was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had six digs and six aces. Those six aces gave her a new career-high.

Brush is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season. As for Weld Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Brush is set to take on their familiar foe Liberty Common at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Weld Central will square off against rival Resurrection Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
