Softball Recap: Santa Fe Takes a Loss

Santa Fe lost against Miyamura back in March of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Santa Fe lost 17-3 to Miyamura. The Demons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leah Gutierrez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. A'Mya Jeselink was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Santa Fe now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Miyamura, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Santa Fe wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-5 victory against Bloomfield on the 22nd. As for Miyamura, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 18-5 loss against Farmington on the 22nd.
