Pender came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Cedar Bluffs Wildcats. The Pendragons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Pender got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 23-25, 25-8.

Pender's record is now 8-6. As for Cedar Bluffs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Coincidentally, Pender and Cedar Bluffs will both be playing Howells-Dodge the next time they take the court. The Pendragons will head out to face the Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
