Alvarado won the last time they faced Robinson and things went their way on Friday too. The Indians took their game with ease, bagging a 63-28 win over the Rockets. The Indians pushed the score to 56-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rockets had little chance of recovering from.

Leading Alvarado to victory were KJ Jenkins and Demarcus Belton. Jenkins threw for 447 yards and five TDs while picking up 17.2 yards per attempt, while Belton gained 279 total yards and four touchdowns. Belton's longest reception was for an incredible 72 yards. Another player making a difference was Schyler Dethorne, who picked up 157 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 15 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Belton, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Alvarado's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Dj Clampitt and Zyon Brown, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Robinson's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Evan Moreno, who rushed for 135 yards and one score while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Moreno's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season. Dylan Medlock also helped out with an impressive 101 receiving yards.

Alvarado has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 50 points thus far. As for Robinson, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Alvarado will venture away from home to square off against Connally at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Robinson, they will host Glen Rose at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
