Governor's Academy was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after falling to Milton Academy. The Governors came in at 10 in the state poll after placing at number 34 last week.

Middlesex moved up to 52 from 223 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Independent School. Middlesex was able to move up by besting Thayer Academy 35-21.

The Tigers' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jack Becker threw for 156 and 2 touchdowns and Jordan Allen had 46 yards receiving. On the ground Becker contributed 49 yards. Conor O'Brien helped Thayer Academy's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 46 yards.

Becker was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 49 yards on 8 carries as Thayer Academy lost to Joe Lang's team. Sam Murphy also contributed to the rushing game with 34 yards on the ground.

Thayer Academy's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Becker has thrown for 1,117 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while O'Brien has 23 catches for 350 yards. Becker also leads the league in rushing with 264 yards.

The most important game in Independent School this week will be the match up between Governor's Academy and Buckingham Browne & Nichols. The Governors comes into the matchup ranked 10th in the state, while the Knights ranks 12th.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Governor's Academy takes on Buckingham Browne & Nichols. The Governors have allowed 78 points this season, while John Papas' team has given up 81.

St. George's was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 14th to 12th in the league. The Dragons defeated Rivers 13-7 earlier in the week.
