Baseball Recap: Pioneer Takes a Loss

Pioneer couldn't beat North Miami on Tuesday even though they stacked six runs on them in the fifth inning. The Panthers fell 16-11 to the Warriors. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost five in a row.

Blake Rogers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. He has become a key player for Pioneer: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Lane Weldy was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Pioneer's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for North Miami, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Pioneer didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-2 defeat against Rochester on the 17th. As for North Miami, they have also already played their next game, an 8-7 win against Carroll on the 16th.
