Volleyball Game Preview: Boulder Panthers vs. Legacy Lightning

The Boulder Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Legacy Lightning at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Boulder will be strutting in after a win while Legacy will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Boulder turned things around against Westminster on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp 3-0 victory.

While Boulder might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Westminster scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-23, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Legacy faced Fossil Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Lightning took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the SaberCats. The contest marked the Lightning's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Legacy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Fossil Ridge work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-21, 14-25, 25-13.

Boulder picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Legacy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 14-1.
