Basketball Game Preview: Richland Rangers vs. Magee Trojans

Richland is a perfect 4-0 against Magee since November of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Rangers will look to defend their home court against the Trojans at 11:30 a.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Richland is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 55 points on Tuesday, they were much more limited against McLaurin on Friday. They lost 49-23 to the Tigers. The Rangers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Magee had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were beaten by Mendenhall 65-36.

Richland's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Magee, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Richland didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Magee in their previous meeting back in February of 2020, but they still walked away with a 62-57 victory. Will the Rangers repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
