District 10 Region 1 A recap October 8, 2013
Sharpsville was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fifth to third in District 10 Region 1 A. Earlier in the week, the Blue Devils defeated West Middlesex 20-12.
Lakeview moved up to 138 from 204 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Sailors climbed the ranks as a result of beating Farrell 39-10.
The Big Reds' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Trey Staunch threw for 154 yards and Chandler Tyillian had 45 yards receiving. On the ground Eric Lucich contributed 83 yards. Lucich helped West Middlesex's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 32 yards.
Tyillian was the best wideout in the league this week as West Middlesex lost to Sharpsville. Tyillian tallied 4 receptions for 45 yards. Lucich helped West Middlesex's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 32 yards.
Ed Roberson's team's Staunch and Dillon Fair have formed a dream team this season, leading District 10 Region 1 A in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Staunch has thrown for 701 yards this season, while Fair has 25 catches for 301 yards. Blake Reddick from Lakeview leads the league in rushing with 1,021 yards.
Dan York's team took down the Steelers 39-10 last week, the largest margin of any game.
