Basketball Game Preview: Hilton Cadets vs. Webster Schroeder Warriors

The Hilton Cadets will venture away from home to challenge the Webster Schroeder Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Hilton came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were beaten by Rush-Henrietta 72-44. While losing is never fun, the Cadets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 418th, while the Royal Comets are ranked 13th).

Meanwhile, Webster Schroeder scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They lost to Victor on the road by a 92-76 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (60), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Hilton's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Webster Schroeder, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.

Hilton came up short against Webster Schroeder in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 51-42. Can Hilton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
