St. James Academy and Louisburg played the most contested game in Freelance this week, with St. James Academy eventually emerging with a 21-20 victory. Alex King threw for 188 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 12 yards during the win.
The Thunder made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,059 from 3,900. The improvement was the result of a 21-20 victory over the Wildcats last week.
St. James Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Thunder feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. King has thrown for 658 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Keith Winger has 15 catches for 257 yards.
The longest pass in the league this week was acheived by St. James Academy's King. Tom Radke's team defeated Louisburg when he connected with Ryan Hand on a 51-yard pass.
