Basketball Recap: Centerville's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

Centerville won the last time they faced Northmont and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Centerville Elks walked away with a 53-45 win over the Northmont Thunderbolts. Given the Elks' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Thunderbolts are ranked 225th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Centerville's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Northmont, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centerville will welcome Springfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Centerville is facing Springfield at the right time seeing as Springfield is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Northmont, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Beavercreek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
