Basketball Recap: North Star Academy Takes a Loss

North Star Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 67-53 bruising from the Montclair Mounties. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against North Star Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-58 back in December of 2024.

North Star Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Montclair, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season.

North Star Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-37 defeat against Trenton Central on the 25th. As for Montclair, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bloomfield at 4:00 p.m. on February 4th.
