Volleyball Recap: Socorro Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Socorro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Pebble Hills Spartans, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Socorro was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-22, 25-11.

Kendra Stanford paced Socorro's offense, picking up 11 kills. Stanford got some help from Mia Arellano and her 20 assists. Finally, Stanford was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Socorro's defeat dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Pebble Hills, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-16.

Socorro has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Coronado on the 26th. As for Pebble Hills, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Eastlake on the 26th.
