Football Recap: Asbury Takes a Loss

Asbury lost against Collinsville back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rams came up short against the Panthers, falling 43-19.

Levi Jacoby threw for 120 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine passes. Aiden Covington was his top target, picking up 100 receiving yards.

Asbury's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Collinsville, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Asbury will challenge Kate Duncan Smith DAR at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Collinsville, they will face off against Sand Rock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.6 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
