Soccer Game Preview: Sedro-Woolley vs. Squalicum

Sedro-Woolley is 1-7-1 against Squalicum since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cubs will head out on the road to face off against the Storm at 7:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Sedro-Woolley came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Sehome, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, Sedro-Woolley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 145th, while Sehome are ranked second).

Meanwhile, Squalicum kept a clean sheet against Mt. Baker on Thursday. They skirted past the Mountaineers 1-0.

Squalicum is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those six matches. As for Sedro-Woolley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
