Basketball Game Preview: Laurens Raiders vs. Camden Bulldogs

The Laurens Raiders will head out to take on the Camden Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Laurens took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 54-35 victory over Emerald.

Laurens' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zoe Young, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Young has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 27 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nyri Allen, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Camden strolled past A.C. Flora with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 57-40.

Camden's win came from a few key players Laurens will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Shanaryah Wright, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 13 boards. Jillian Rush was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Camden smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.

Laurens' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-13. As for Camden, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
