Soccer Game Preview: St. Joseph-Ogden vs. Danville

The St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans will challenge the Danville Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

St. Joseph-Ogden's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They blew past Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Westville 9-0. St. Joseph-Ogden might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Westville from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Zach Harper led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Danville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Comets as they made off with a 6-0 victory. Danville's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matches.

Danville's win bumped their record up to 8-6-3. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, their victory bumped their record up to 18-0.
