Baseball Recap: Bourbon County Takes a Loss

Bourbon County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lewis County, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Colonels fell just short of the Lions by a score of 7-5 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Colonels have suffered since April 16th.

Bourbon County is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-15. As for Lewis County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-22 record this season.

Bourbon County will venture away from home to challenge Walton-Verona at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bearcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Colonels' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
