Christian owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over the Scripps Ranch Falcons. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not much got past Alyssa McCurty, who gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks to keep Scripps Ranch off the board. McCurty has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Christian's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Charlotte Baca, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI. Sienna Staite also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Christian and bumps their season record up to 9-10-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Scripps Ranch, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Christian will venture away from home to square off against Cathedral Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Scripps Ranch, they will head out to challenge Rancho Buena Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
