Basketball Game Preview: Snook Christian Academy Eagles vs. Baker Gators

After both having extra time off, the Snook Christian Academy Eagles and the Baker Gators will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Snook Christian Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Monroe Academy last Saturday. Snook Christian Academy enjoyed a cozy 41-25 victory over Monroe Academy. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Snook Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Braiden Parker, who went 5 of 12 en route to 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Shaffer, who posted six points and six rebounds.

Snook Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Baker entered their tilt with Paxton last Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 38-25 win over the Bobcats.

Baker's win came from a few key players Snook Christian Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Colton Stidham, who put up nine points. AJ Chilton was another key player, putting up 11 points along with six boards and three steals.

Baker has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Snook Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
