Basketball Recap: Orcas Island Vikings vs. Granite Falls Tigers
Orcas Island took care of business in their home opener on Monday (and then some). They claimed a resounding 55-17 victory over the Granite Falls Tigers. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-9.
Orcas Island found their leader in sophomore Charlotte Winter Lamphere, who went 7 for 14 en route to 22 points.
Orcas Island will square off against Mt. Baker at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Granite Falls, they will be defending their home-court for the first time this season they go up against Bear Creek at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
