Volleyball Recap: Mater Dei Extends Winning Streak to Six

Mater Dei came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Lincoln Railsplitters. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Railsplitters, too.

Leading Mater Dei to victory were Ava Lampe and Lauren Jamruk. Lampe had ten digs and two assists, while Jamruk had three aces. That's the most aces Jamruk has posted since back in September of 2024. Kylee Eversgerd also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Lincoln's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lauren Tedrick, who had 18 assists and three digs. Tedrick is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 15 games she's played.

Mater Dei's win bumped their record up to 26-6. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-15.

Mater Dei didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Quincy Notre Dame on the 24th. As for Lincoln, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Macomb on the 24th.
