Palmview is 8-0-1 against Martin since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Palmview Lobos will head out on the road to square off against the Martin Tigers at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Palmview has three straight victories, Martin has 19 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Palmview had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Roma on Friday. Everything went Palmview's way against Roma as Palmview made off with an 8-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Lobos, who have now won four games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Abigail Cantu spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in earned runs (zero).

At the plate, Alynna Gonzalez was a standout: she scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gabriela Garza, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3.

Palmview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Martin scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 15-5 to Roma.

Martin's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Palmview, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Palmview took their win against Martin in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Palmview since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
