Volleyball Recap: Crivitz's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Crivitz lost against Florence back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wolverines fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 2-1. The loss put an end to the Wolverines' undefeated start to the season.

Crivitz started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-16, 15-8.

Marli Meyers paced Crivitz's offense, picking up seven kills. Meyers got some help from Hattie Frievalt and her 11 assists. Frievalt also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kiya Brand, racking up two apiece.

Having lost for the first time this season, Crivitz fell to 2-1. As for Florence, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Crivitz has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Peshtigo on the 26th. As for Florence, they will face off against Three Lakes at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
